Customers are afforded the personal service of a small, local business mixed with a team of professional cooks and years of catering & nursery experience. 

Cupcakes Catering was established in 2010 and is owned and operated by Managing Director, Claire Cardinal.  

Claire has many years of experience within the catering industry.   Whilst juggling family life, she worked alongside a local group of day nurseries.  Here she established an insight into the catering needs of childcare settings and children's nutritional requirements.

Over the years, Cupcakes Catering has established a good reputation and built an expanding client base of nurseries and schools.  Working in partnership with each individual setting to provide an ethically good food service.

Menu's have been tried, tested and adapted to suit the little customers served each day.

Each day a delicious Lunch Menu  which includes a hot dish of the day and a dessert is served.  A varied Afternoon Tea is served to children attending longer days in Day Nurseries.  Each menu offers an abundance of fresh salad, fruit & vegetables.

Seasonal menus are reviewed each autumn and spring, to coincide with the changing temperatures outside.

  • Menus are specifically planned for children aged 0-8 years.
  • Menus have always been structured to meet the guidelines which were set out by       the Children's Food Trust for pre-school and primary school aged children.
  • We work with advisory bodies and nutritionists and have recently produced a new menu which is accredited by Startwell Birmingham
  • All our meat is locally sourced and we insist on Red Tractor accreditation unless alternatives are requested for religious needs.
  • Our fruit & Veg is delivered daily from local supplier, Worcestershire Produce
  • When we bake we use only the best local free range eggs from our neighbouring Westonhall Farm Eggs.  For this we hold the Good Egg Award.
  • Variety is our promise and we take our customers feedback seriously.
  • We offer exciting, varied and nutritionally balanced menus
  • Individual allergy requirements are handled with utmost care and attention
  • Dishes are all served with traditional accompaniments ensuring

    Food Hygiene

    We are committed to excellent food & kitchen hygiene. Our premises are inspected annually and we aim uphold our 5* ‘Very Good’ rating at all times.

    Food Standards for Children

    Menus meet all legislative standards for School & Nursery Food along with guidelines set by the Children's Food Trust.  We also can offer a Startwell Birmingham accredited menu 

    Allergens

    The allergen content of our menus are available at all times to our customers.  

    We offer all of our settings and parents full disclosure of the ingredients used in every dish.

    We support local business and compassion in farming:  

    • The fresh meat in our dishes is Red Tractor accredited and delivered to us by a fully accredited local butcher. 
    • Our produce is local and fully traceable.
    • Our eggs are local and free-range.  We hold the 'Good Egg' award.

    We believe in recycling.  

    • Cardboard is reused by our suppliers and never gets thrown away.  
    • We recycle tins, glass and plastics.
